Mission & Vision
St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is a community of faith called by the Good News of Jesus Christ and gathered in Word and Sacrament to proclaim God's message. Moved by God's Spirit, we strive joyously to put our vision of God's will into action.
In furtherance of our mission, St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church of Baton Rouge, Louisiana,
- strives to be a community which challenges us to commit to discipleship by giving enthusiastically of ourselves and by inviting others to join in celebrating the Gospel and heeding Christ's call
- to be a community which communicates the saving Gospel, empowering us through our congregation and other expressions of the Church
- to be a caring community, a living expression of God's love, sensitizing and compelling us to respond to those in need
- and to be a community which fosters a hospitable climate, celebrates and is enriched by diversity, encourages our participation in the life of the Church and nurtures continuous renewal of ministry in our daily lives.
